Hi 🙂 I’m 12 days post op and been told way to many things about how to sleep and Google tells me 100 different things. I slept 45 degrees for the first 5 nights after that I couldn’t cope any long so slept with 2 pillows on my back every night since then but I’m in agony with my shoulders and back I always sleep on my side or stomach 🙁 I’ve been told after 2 weeks I can sleep on my side but my surgeon says don’t for 6 weeks.. I couldn’t cope sleeping like this for 6 weeks it’s so painful ? has anybody else slept on their side sooner than 6 weeks and have you been ok?! xxx
Hey chick try this I had six week to master this
I had few pillows and two big long ones so stack your pillows at the top as you would then place the other under your knees this helps take pressure of you lower back and stops you sliding down in the night xx
Have you put pillows under your legs and lay flat on your back? I have to have pillows under my arms as well which I find strange ? because if I’m lay on 2 pillows my arms aren’t resting on anything and it makes my boobs ache! Such a nightmare im like a cripple because of my shoulders ? did you get told to sleep on your back for 6 weeks? Xx
This how I slept the long pillow at the top bend it round so could have it under my arms I was prompt up at the top xx
Like this I had to sleep upright for weeks as I had uplift and that was pain full I sleep on belly so had to find a way to deal with it my other two ops after that was on sides with n a week . If end getting the long pillows they come handy when your able to sleep on u sides as you can wrap your arms n legs around and supports your breast implants xx
I need to get one of them! I had 2 when I was pregnant one was like 6ft long as well it was huge and when I moved house I got rid of them 🙁 I ordered them online though and took weeks to come do you know where you can buy them in shops? How many weeks po are you now? xx
Yeah you need two of them http://www.dunelm.com/product/bolster-pillow-1000001575?cmCategoryId=34062
My 1st op was Jan 2013 with uplift /implants 385/415cc then 6 months later I got CC so needed my implants changing to 450cc and bit more of uplift on the right then a year 28th Nov had anther op due cc so had my natrelle implants changed over to a new brand of implant and let me go bigger to 590cc and had nipple lift on the right xx
Thank you I’m going to get some tomorrow. You must be an expert on recovery then! I’m so impaitent I want to know how long until they will drop and how long they will be this hard for ? I feel like no matter how much I research no one can answer anything because everyone is different 🙁 xxx
I allways say the 1st 2 weeks are worse chick then after that it gets better your 3rd week your body will ease up off your implants and let’s them move down to there resting spot so you day by day they will change to one day to the next Full recover on implants is 6 months xx
I know fair bit been on hear since 2012 not on this profile my old one but it’s a lot to take in when starting out lol X
Yeah so much to take in! I’m not really in any pain anymore only aching and when I lift things or change gear my muscle feels like it’s being pulled how long does that last for? I’ve heard some people say even after 4 weeks they struggle to use their arms like normal! xx
It depends on your placement of implants I went from under to over and found the unders wear more painfull
I had unders, when I use my arms to lift anything it feels like my boob moves and it makes me feel weak ? that’s the only thing that’s bothering me ( and sleeping ) xx
That’s coz your muscle is incasing your implants I had problems with my under as my muscle latched on to my right implant and ever time I used it would pull my implant out of shape which classed as CC X
I started twisting more and more into my side at the 4 week mark, I’m 5 weeks now and am fully on my side. You will know when it’s OK to do it because it won’t hurt, I couldn’t have laid on my side any sooner because it was too sore to but as soon as it wasn’t I was straight onto my side xx
