Hi everyone
I had a consultation booked with a surgeon a few weeks ago but they had to cancel, so had another consult booked for tomorrow evening with a different surgeon but they have just cancelled again today 🙁
I know these things can’t be helped, but it’s starting to make me debate if this the right decision now. I have always been a bit on the fence ( mainly due to family being really against surgery) – but I wanted to do it for myself & wanted to go to all the consults by myself so that I don’t have the opinions of everyone else, but now MYA has cancelled part of me is thinking its a sign that that I shouldn’t do it lol!!
Don’t know if I’m just being silly, but just wondering if anyone else has been through cancellations with MYA ? Maybe I just need to be more patient! X
I think you’ve just been unlucky Hun. No idea why they’ve cancelled but I suppose it’s a busy time of year in general for people. I wouldn’t let it put you off. Have the consultation when you can then if you still feel unsure you can think it through. Definitely get all the info and see how you feel properly before just backing off. Don’t let family or anyone else influence you too much. You’ll need support, but it’s your body at the end of the day and it’s you that lives with it and has to feel comfortable with it. Just try again. X
Hi Frankie, my consultation with Dr Fiumara was cancelled yesterday too and they have only been able to fit me in in 2 weeks time. I completely understand cancellations can’t be helped but I am just a little worried about missing out on the actual surgery date as I am limited to my holiday dates with work. Hopefully it will work out, will just have to wait and see. I have also been on the fence about doing it for months but the more I think about it/read up about it the more I want to go ahead with it. I only want natural results so I am worried about picking a size too big but I am hoping when I get to discuss size in my second condulstation I will be more clear on what I want/what the end result may look like. If you feel as though you’re still a little on the fence, just give it time, you can always book again later in the year, don’t rush yourself xxx
HI Frankie, sorry to hear about your experience, unfortunately this does sometimes happen, which clinic are you attending and who are you wishing to see? Its understandable to be nervous, for lots of people the decision to go ahead with surgery is a daunting one but we are here to support you to come to the right decision for you, whatever the outcome. If it turns out you’re not ready then coming to that conclusion is a result in itself, however I would advise you go ahead to see the surgeon so you will know for sure rather than wondering. Don’t forget, seeing a surgeon doesn’t need to be a big thing, its just a chance for you to have an informal chat about the procedure and get a better understanding, you’re under no obligations to then go ahead with surgery! If I can help you with anything let me know xxx
Thank you everyone!
You are all completely right, and Anna it looks like I am in the same boat as you! I am hoping to meet with Linda too as I have heard she is amazing at the natural look! Sorry to hear that yours was cancelled too, at least you have the next one in a few weeks! Yeah I did got a bit worried because one cancellation can happen but after the second I was thinking hmmm not sure about this, but hopefully when it comes to surgery bookings etc. It doesn’t happen as often.
Thank you Candice, and I met my PC in the Chelmsford clinic but hoping to meet with Dr Fiumara in London. I am working with her to get a consultation in january. I feel better now, but I was just really looking forward to taking that step and meeting the surgeon. I will just have to be patient now and wait until the new year!! Xxxx
