Consultation with Dr Andrea!

I had my first consultation and have now choose my surgeon Dr Andrea and have a consultation with him on 2nd September. So excited I have now started my journey, looking forward to trying different sizes.
Just wondering who else have been with Dr Andrea?

Hi Janine, he is really nice and listens to what you want. My surgery is booked 4 weeks tomorrow and I cannot wait, although a bit nervous too!

Karis, my recovery has gone really well. The first day and night were awful, I was being sick and was so drowsy but the pain quickly got better! I’m 7 days PO now and I’m doing pretty much everything I did before and have no pain at all just the odd twinge. The last week has gone so fast! I’m really pleased so far, not too big which is what I worried about and no bruising. I had my dressings taken off today and replaced with small plasters which will be taken off next week. Dr Andrea doesn’t use strapping or drains which is good, just have to wear the breast band for 4 weeks xxx

Oh bless you hun at least was only the first day and didn’t carry on. That’s good about hardly any pain, I’m really worried about that. Do you have to see the nurse to take the small plasters off or do it yourself after a week? I’m so glad he doesn’t use strapping or drains, hear so many things about both of them. Especially the strapping with it leaving people bruised and blistered! How long is the pre op appointment? I’ve got it next Thursday because they messed me about a bit 🙁 will only be 3 weeks to go then woo hoo xxx

Yeah I have to go back and see the nurse to have them removed. My pre op lasted about 20 minutes, the nurse went through some paperwork and the do’s and dont’s, took MRSA swaps and took photos. I had photos took at my appointment yesterday so could look at the before and afters together. Three weeks will fly by! X

It’s just routine that they test for it, if it is negative you don’t hear anything but if you do have it you have to have three negative results before you can have surgery xx

Oh ok, I hope they would be able to fit in 3 tests with so little time left til surgery :-/ xxx

I would of thought so because they would make us have pre ops earlier if there wasn’t enough time. Don’t worry I’m sure you will be fine 🙂 xx
