Contraceptive pill

Does anyone know why you have to stop taking the contraceptive pill? Do you really have to? I have never stopped for any other operation! X

Iv had to stop mine 2 weeks ago and wait 2 weeks after my op. Its because of the hormone it releases x

Nah they advised me to stop taking mine two weeks before but I didn’t and when I went for my op yesterday the nurse asked me If I had I said no and she said that’s fine it’s your personal decision and your not high risk as your young and healthy so everything was fine and went ahead people have operations everyday and they take there pull like you I never stop taking mine and I knew if I did if come on my period straight away and I defo didn’t want that for surgery so I think you’ll be fine taking it xx

If you look in the pack you get when you 1st met you pc it tells you that it increases the risk of dvt which could have serious complications x

Ok thanks I have stopped taking mine but didn’t know why I had to. Xx
