Contraceptive pill help!!!

So I’ve been reading through the forum and I’ve read about your meant to stop taking the pill 4 weeks before your op. Well i have my surgeons consultation on the 8th of june and then hopefully going for the operation on the 28th june. I’m taking Maexeni 150/30 and wondered if anyone else was told to come off them before surgery.
As the time i see the surgeon i will be over the 4 weeks ………… : /

Hey Laura my op is 29/6! Not long. Yea at your pre op the nurse will tell you to stop taking your pill 4 weeks before and two weeks after your op xxx

thank you :), I’m just a little worried and wanted to check as my pre op is only 3 weeks before my op so if I’m only told at my pre op to stop taking the pill this will only leave 3 weeks as opposed to the 4 weeks advised.. or should i just stop taking it now to be safe.. xx

Hey Hun tbh when you stop your pull at your pre op your probably due a period within a week so you won’t be on when it’s your op time. I think it’s to prevent any clots or even if you’re on your period and bleed during surgery they know what it’s from. Xx

Hiiii I wasn’t told to stop taking the pill and came on my period whilst waiting in my gown haha! They asked what kind j was on but that is it, I went through a private hospital in Newcastle xx
