Hi Lizzie, I’m 21 this year and went to my parents with a sales pitch haha! I had all my files all the questions I asked during my consultation… ( I’m in sales ) haha. My parents actually paid for it!! So it worked well lol! My dad was totally against it at first… But he’s cool with it now. We don’t talk about it much if I’m honest. But I’d goto them with all info, it shows you’ve done your research xx

Not sure if this is the best advice but it worked for me… My rents are totally against cosmetic surgery and I knew if they found about the consultations and meeting the surgeon they would put a stop to it. So instead I did it all with my friend, then I knew it was so,etching I really wanted and went ahead and booked it. I then told them after, I showed them all the paper work, all the information so they could read and saw I had already made up my mind. I’m 21 too so as long as you show you’ve done all your research and it’s what you really want not just a fad then you should win them round. Xxx

I don’t speak to my sister as she isn’t a nice person haha and I stayed with a friend for a couple of days after the op so by the time I got home I wasn’t in any pain and kept covered up so she hasn’t noticed. I work with my flat mate too and she can’t keep a secret so have been really careful as I don’t want my colleagues to know xx

Even though I have told my mum- I don’t think I will be telling many other people. I have told my two flatmates and that is it. My best friend can’t keep secrets at all and I would hate for people to find out. I did feel bad for keeping it a secret- but I’m glad others are doing the same 🙂

I’ve not told my parents – very old fashioned! Trouble is, I’m off on holiday with them 5 weeks after the op so not sure how I’m going to be able to hide the new puppies in a bikini!!!

Will cross that bridge when I come to it!

I took my mum to the consultation so she could ask all the questions she needed and after that she was fine about it! x
