hi emily .. take comfy clothes to go home in .. a zip up hoodie as you will have difficulty moving your arms after surgery .. slippers for the walk to theatre .. dressing gown .. and also if you can buy one of those beanie travel pillows ..they’re the best thing ever as having to sleep upright is a real pain ! .. saved me lots of sleepless nights for weeks to come it also stops you turning on your side funnily enough ! .. dont take too much in with you ie magazines etc because you really wont be bothered after with them .. just want sleep ! …good luck ..exciting ! ohh and a little tip put your hair in a scruff bun or a way you prefer thats less work for you beforehand so you’re not trying to mess about with it after because you will struggle xx

@Emily. Yes I am at Preston.
I had my pre-op appointment on Saturday and found out I am having the surgery on the 28th and not the 27th.

I think it’s normal to be nervous but we are in good hands.
Have you had your Pre-op appointment yet? Who’s your surgeon.
All the best and let me know how you get in.
I’m having a full TT and breast enlargement, nervous and excited. Got my sports bra for after surgery but not sure about size, guess I will find out when I wake up and it fits properly or not. Excited xxx

Hi @lama sorry it’s late I didn’t realise I had another reply. My surgeon is dr Traynor! I had my pre op last week waited hours to be seen šŸ™ I haven’t got my sports bra yet I wasn’t sure on the size to get ?? Probably a small or x small I’m very tiny. Did you have your pre op too? Xxx

@Emily yes I had my pre op last week also.
It might be best speaking to your nurse size wise for the bras. I got mine from from M&S only two as it is a guessing game on what size.
I have Mr Traynor also amazing isn’t he?
Also from what I have read on the forums the the nurses at the hospital are Fab also, we are totally in safe hands hun.
What size implant are you going for?
My op is on the 29th and the 27th as I first thought.
Wish you all the best hun.

Iā€™m 3DPO. Take your phone charger and a magazine. I had a few hours wait from my admission time to surgery time.
I have a v pillow which was super comfy for the way back.

Definitely a zip up top and leggings (comfy loose clothes)

And I had instant ice packs (dead cheap for 10 on eBay) but I havenā€™t used them as much as I thought I would have.

I didnā€™t bother with dressing gown or anything. I just wore my trainers to walk into theatre. I was at Preston and itā€™s a tiny little hospital, but lovely! Good luck!
