credit score and finance

Hi girls!!
Just wondered if any of you got finance for boobies and otjer procedures and wondered if you knew what your credit score was when yougot it? II’ve checked mine and just wondered if id pass the check so much appreciated of you cpuls help xxx

if ur credit rating is not as good as they want it there ask if u have someone that can gaurentee you x but its usually fairly easy to get finance ur credit rating does not need to be as good as it does for a personal loan x

I have my boyfriend whose credit rating is awesome but would love it kn mine to improve mine more. Which is why I wondered what sort of scores people had got before! If he was a guarentor would it show on my rating until I defaulted? Xx

him being a guarntor just means his agreaing to make payments if for some reason u default on a payment they will take it from him instead so u need to make sure you dont default lol, it dont tend to effect there raiting, and obv if you get the finance even with him on there as a gaurentor then it improves your raiting even more so long as you dont default a payment and u make all on time x

Yeah weve both sat down and looked at what I can afford to pay and I can afford 270 a month so not a low payment just dont want to save till ibcan pay in full! His concern is weve never done joint or garentour before. And weve never been linked together on credit expert and hes concered it can affect his rating just by applying with me xx

if its in your name and his just a gaurntor i dont think it effects his rating although im not 100% sure but if you default ur payments i dont think that will lower his rating as they would use his ddetails to cover missing payments so in therory that would boost his rating more!, but when i looked into the finance it was going to be 500 deposit and monthly payments of 135 ish so if u say you can pay it of at a higher amount they will love you and hopefully go out of there way to give you the finance x

500deposit is no issue really! Just really want it. So if hes a guarentour would it help improve my rating? Xx

there try it first in just your name i think unless there sure you cant do it with out a gaurtntour but unless your under 18 or dont have a regular wage or earn usually around 10 grand a year maybe 12 then there should not be a problem doing it in your own name without gaurentour, and if you can put a bigger deposit down then u have to borrow less but they like 500 deposit to confirm the op date however a few people i know did actually even do 500 deposit from there finance total aswell

Its just my scores lowish. So dunno whether to try on my own and risk it lowering and then try his lol! As im trying to improve my rating. Xx

i dont think finance being refused lowers it as it works slightly differently to loans (even though its a loan in a way lol) they will ask you details and if they think it wont go through on ur own details they will ask for a gaurntour or if someone can do it for you x

Do guarentours have to be homeowners? Or is that if its a loan? I spoke to firstmedicalloans who saod homeowners which is whats confusing me xxx

most the time they just look for someone who has a regular wage for finance to be honnest x

i actually ended up doing a private loan with sainsburys bank joint name with my bf but comes out of my account, because that is in joint names it does effect his score if i miss a payment because its classed as “we” missed the payment , the loan was less to pay back a month in the end so for me was the better option

Do you know which finance company mya use? As heard its firstnedicalloans who say you need a homeowner guarantor if over 5000 andim not sure how my parents would feel over me and surgery

they have a couple that they use i beleive but cant rember what ones sorry cant help u there, i think its quite unusually for them to want you to be a home owner for finance as the finance amount would be sooooooo much less than the value of ur home to go against payments if you default payments lol

Hi ladies I have got my ba booked + I have got finance thru mya. They deal with a company called 121 finance (that’s what is on the top of my letter). I had to put a £500 deposit down which secures the date for u, then the rest is on finance. When I have spoke to them, they are lovely + really helpful x x

For low credit rating there is a card called Luma or Luna which only has a £150 credit limit on it but which you can use to buy fuel or something every month and pay it straight off. Its specifically designed to help increase credit ratings. Don’t know how long it takes to help but might help boost low credit scores? My cousin is using it after realising her credit score was low xxx

I have a barley card and using thay and its slowly improving but if I knew peoples score or something id be more confident

Ah cool, wasn’t sure as some girls mention not being able to get loans, credit cards and stuff. I haven’t checked my credit score but just used my credit card for payment and then transferred it to an interest free one xx

My credit card is a low limit id have to see if theyd higher it but im wanting tummy tuck and lipo and dont think id get a limit that high

Hi Girls, I applied for MYA Finance and initially got declined, I was absolutely gutted! I basically don’t have a credit score because I’ve never had a credit card and I have missed a couple of phone bills in the past. (I have also been declined for a credit card, i know what the viscous cycle feels like) I didn’t have anyone in my family willing to be a guarantor so I thought that was that……
I then spoke with Wanda at the Birmingham clinic about it and she suggested I sent the finance company (121 finance) my last 3 months bank statements to prove that I could afford to pay them off every month….. I did this, highlighting my income and my essential outgoings and I GOT APPROVED – the next day!! Basically your application is sent to a human being rather than an automated robot system to consider whether you can afford it. Their job title is ‘loan underwriters’ if you google this is gives you more information!

121 fiance who work with mya are very hard to get ot wiv if u have a bad credit rating ive read a feed on here where even people tried to get there partners to do it and still got knocked back…. im using 121 but my dads paying for me cus me n my hubbu cnt efford it but if u getvit wiv em they r brilliant x

I have 2 consultation one with mya and finance company 121 finance
And another with a different surgery and diff finance company so fingers crossed I or my bf can get accepted woth one of then

1) £500 deposit (To MYA)

2) £325 first months (Post Op) payment to cover all the 121 document fees

3) £160 a month for 3 years!

I am borrowing £3,950 from them so its so expensive – its 15% interest per annum and 33.39% APR.

You can pay it off early as you like so that it doesn’t cost you as much, I plan to throw my summer bonus at it and hopefully get it down to a 2 years. The repayments were something like £270 a month if you go for 2 years which I cant afford!

Well ive spoken to halifax the company who is the only negative thing on my credit file! Theyce offered to remove my default status ans mark as satisfied and closed if I pay in full for the charges! So im off to pay those back tomorrow and then within 10day itl show on my file so that should boost me up mega on my credit file. Looking at surgery dates for xmas time I think but then im not sure as of my kods? Decisions
