Dark / Infected Insisions?

Hi girls, I feel like I’m always posting on here but it’s nice to get some reassurance! Really worried that my incisions are infected. they are still very hard and red. they’re not itchy and no fluid comes from them but where there are stitches still in the ends they feel scabby. I’m really worried as I’m due to go on holiday in ten days and will be gutted if I can’t swim etc 🙁 any thoughts? I will be 5 weeks post op on Tuesday xxxx

I haven’t had my surgery yet but I think they look fine, just doing what they need to do and that’s scab over to heal proper, then they will fall off (Scabs I mean) xx

On my opinion (medical by trade) they look fine the fresh pink/red just shows signs of healing as long as they are not weeping too much and it’s not dark yellow in colour or green/ feel really hot – some weeping of a straw like colour is normal again signs of healing – also if you feel unwell or feverish or if there’s and red marks tracing around the area then go straight to the doctors … Hope that helps xx
