Hi girls, now day 4 post op. Recovery has gone better than I expected I’m in no pain and stopped my pain relief on day 2! Slight sharp twinges in my left incision tonight but nothing I can’t cope with – I presume this is just nerves etc healing. However my one problem.. I am so so so bloated and uncomfortable! Has anyone else experienced this and got any advice or tips they used? Anything would be greatly appreciated!! ???????? jess xxx

Get some senakot I guarantee it’s from the anaesthetic and the drugs we’ve taken I had exactly the same last night, took two and it knocked it right out!! Xx

I did actually take senna tablets on day 2 and haven’t had a problem with going to the loo but the bloating remains! Hopefully it’s just a matter of time, fingers crossed! Xx

Hi Jess, I ‘m 18 days post op and the bloating has gone completley. I think I had it for about 10 days, I looked pregnant!! i felt really fat with big boobs and a big belly lol Make sure you are eating a good diet with lots of veg and drink plenty of water. I promise it does go, like with the whole healing thing, its always patience. Glad your op went well and u are not in too much pain xx

I also find, if you can do it safely the happy baby yoga pose is very good for relief if you know what I’m saying!! Google it!! Xx

@jess peppermint tea is amazing for bloating. I haven’t had my op yet but I often feel bloated and peppermint tea helps. rink lots of water and keep your diet healthy. Happy healing!!

I am exactly the same 1wpo!
The trapped wind has gone, but I’m still huge. The nurse said it’s fluid and a side effect of the painkillers/anaesthetic.
Walking has also been helpful to me. Xx
