Day 6 post op… Strapping question advice girls??

Hi girls I’m day six post op and this strapping is driving me wild, it’s all come undone under my armpits, from the top of the middle section it’s very loose and there’s a massive air bubble right down my cleavage, it’s also gathered up at the bottom in the middle towards my incisions too, it’s nowhere near as tight as it was, I feel it’s not supporting me anymore, I put my sports bra over it but it’s just pulling on the sticky sides even more, I had a missed call and message from mya saying they need to swop my Monday at 7pm appt to tues 7pm, I’ve tried calling since and nobody is picking up! I’m very tempted to remove the strapping myself, and put on my sports bra?! I feel as though I can’t wear this for another 3 full days! Help!! X

I’m surprised you’re not booked in sooner as you are meant to have your first post op check between 4 and 7 days after your op! I would maybe ring the out of hours and see what they say, as my nurse said if it is annoying me they would get me in And remove it sooner if needed and just put on my sorts bra. X

I was told by my nurse I can take it off by myself after 4days so with the careful help of my husband we did it. Be extra careful not to take off the dressing as well. You will need help.
The most difficult part was to take off the sticky stuff which I did with very strong alcohol, or surgical spirit type.

Thanks for the advice girls, I removed most of it lastnight ( just uploaded pics) left strapping where incisions are that bit wasn’t bothering me, oh god feels so good to get that all off movements are nowhere near as restricted as they were! Xx
