Day after my operation.

Hi girls, just wanted to give you all an update. So I was admitted into hospital at 12 o’clock yesterday morning and I didn’t go down to surgery until 7pm it was a long wait as I hadn’t eaten since 5.30am. But it was definitely worth it! It’s over so quickly. I feel a little pain today, mainly tightness and it feels bruised. Every now and then I feel a slight burning pain. One of my boobs is more swollen than the other, is this normal? I’ve also got my sports bra over my strapping do I have to keep this on all the time now? Also did you girls start applying bio oil to your boobies (not on scars) but around the area once you for your strapping off? Xxxxx

hello lovely, wow that is a long wait! hope you’re feeling okay 🙂
you don’t have to wear the sports bra over the strapping as it’s enough support with just that, it’s up to you though.
i’m not sure about the bio oil either! i guess it would be okay 🙂
one boob being more swollen is definitely normal. think of them are two seperate ops, two different healing times!
mine’s on 14th feb, can’t wait!! xx

Ah @abbie glad to see you ok. Everything you said above is totally normally I’m 7days to day post op. One boob gets more twinges than the other like @lucy said they are too different operations so 2 different stages of healing. I had no pain really apart from feeling tight. I didn’t go with MYA so have different strapping etc. which is restricting my breathing and driving me mad but got to have this on for another week. Bio oil I was told not to put anything on til after you see surgeon see him in 3 weeks however Iv been massaging a little into the top of my boobs when my bras off and I’m in the bath asling as you don’t get it on the dressing can’t see a problem do what you feels best for u.xx
