Afternoon Ladies,
Thought would give a breakdown of my day, as I read some and it helped ease my mind and hoping this does for you if your pre op ?
Had my op today, I was at preston with Dr Mounir.
My stats are: 5″6, 10stone, 36b (empty after having kids and breastfeeding)
Had ultra high profile implants 375cc in my right and 400cc in my left as Dr Mounir said when he put both same sizes in was aseymetry. Had them under the muscle. Hoping to get a D cup but shall see.
Admission time was 8am i was first on the list woohooo!!
Went in got gowned up and put the lovely stockings on( can’t believe you have to leave them on for 5 days ?) saw the doctor/surgeon/and the lovely nurses at Preston and was taken down to theatre around 9.45am
Wasn’t scared at all and was totally relaxed and excited and I think that helped a lot.
Nurses were lovely and made me feel very welcome, And same with surgery staff – and before I know it I was out like a light and woke up about 11am still woozy but not feeling sick thankfully but was very sore and shivering ow and emotional for some reason had a little cry as I woke up for what reason I don’t know ha ha
Was taken back pretty much straight away to my room, for the next half hour or So I was still very tired and not really with it but once thae anesthetic wore off was fine and took some painkillers for the pain! Once painkillers took effect the nurses put my bra on for me, I didn’t have strapping or a breast band just dressing on the wound.
Nurses kept coming and going to check my blood pressure and temp about every half hour and then finally came with some tea and toast which was much appreciated as was starving lol shivering soon wore off and was then left to relax and watch some TV. Once I had emptied my bladder the nurses were happy with me and made me have a little walk around which hurt a little but slowly slowly was better lol
Dr Mounir then came to see me told me everything went perfect and wished me all the best and the nurses were happy to discharge me – I left the hospital about 3pm with all my pain killers!
Back at the hotel now (I stopped at the ibis which is literally 4 min drive away from the hospital) ow and I had a pillow between my boobs and the seat belt which helped me! Just took some more pain killers to keep it at bay but still feels like I’ve got something sitting on my chest but this is bearable. Will update again to let you know how I get on and sleep which I’m dreading sleeping upright!
Can’t wait to have a look at my boobs in the mirror as all I can see at the min are 2 swollen boobs at the top – the left one more so as this is the one with the bigger implant in it.
If anyone has any questions feel free to ask and I will help if I can. Xxx
Great story, so positive experience. Wish every girl had no nerves on the day and could share a positive attitude.
Do you live far from Preston?
Now it’s time to get as much relax as possible Gemma. Keep us updated and can’t wait for your pic xx
Thanks for this Gemma, its very informative and very helpful. I’m glad you had a great experience and I hope you have a fast recovery xx
Hi Monica, I’m 2 1/2 hours away from Preston so we came down last night and leaving tomorrow.
Thank you very much- will prob have to upload pic when on pc as can’t seem to do them on my phone as keeps saying error!
Hope it helps plan your day Kylie and put your mind at rest a bit if your planning surgery! Xx
Lovely to read your experience so glad it was a positive one. I shivered too when coming from theatre effects of anaesthetic. The recovery nurses put heat (call it the bear hugger) on me to try warm me up, I’m always the same from anaesthetic. Crying afterward is completely normal too another effect of anaesthetic, working in theatres you see all sorts of different reactions when patients wake.
Looking forward to seeing photos, wishing you a speedy recovery xx
Thanks for this gemma im at preston on 15th feb also staying over in the ibis look forward to seeing your pics xxx
Ruth I said to the nurse no idea why I’m crying lol she said don’t worry it’s perfectly normal I was like good ha ha
No worries Sarah what you going for and who’s going to be your surgeon? Xx
Gemma the difference between your before and after is amazing, they look fab in your post op bra xx
Photos, yay! You look really good straight after the op ☺️ Perfectly filling the cups.
I remember when I tried mine on for the first time , it felt so empty ? xx
Wow gemma they look amazing what size did you have ? Im having 375 cc hp overs with Dr Mahdi xxx
Thanks Ruth I’m soo happy with them!
Monica it’s weird isn’t it as I normally wear padded bras so didn’t realise how flat I looked when it wasn’t padded lol How long until you took your bra off to have a peak after surgery?
Sarah I had 375 in one and 400cc hp unders in the other to even out asymmetry with Dr Mounir. When’s your op booked for? Xx
I would be too amazing results ? I kept having sneaky peaks at mine but I only saw mine properly 2 days after surgery when the drains came out. It’s quite nerve racking for the first time even though your excited to see them. Hope your recovery is going well xx
Managed to shrink the photo via an app – thanks Monica ?
Here’s before and just a few hours after surgery…Will keep you all updated with results as I go along and when I remove the bra (scared to have a peep at the min) ha ha
Gemma, glad you managed with photos ☺️I had a wee peak the next day when I had to take off my bra just for a few mins because of the pain and tightness. Plus I managed to have a look in the clinic as they left he without a bra for a couple of hours xx
