    Hey Lucy

I had my surgery on the 29th of March at Harley Heath Village. My admission time was 09:45am. As soon as I got there they checked my temperature and I was then asked to do a COVID and pregnancy test. When that was done I filled out some forms and after a little while I was taken to an admission room where they did a few vitals (checked height/weight/blood pressure and oxygen levels). I changed into my hospital gown and compression socks and was then visited my my anaesthetist and the surgeon and was then taken down to theatre. I walked myself there with the surgeon. There was a few people in the theatre but they were all lovely and I felt really reassured. The whole process was quite quick and before I knew it I was out of surgery by 12:45pm in a recovery room where all my belongings had been taken. When I came round a nurse actually put my phone on the table in front of me so when I was alert enough I could update a few people that I was out of surgery. After a little while the surgeon then popped in again to see me and I was then given something to eat (which I picked when I filled out forms at reception). I then used the toilet, got changed (managed to do all this myself just being careful) and they took out my cannula and gave me my meds. They asked my to complete a questionnaire before I left and I was was on my way home just after 15:00pm (only in for day surgery).

I hope this helps, and if you have any specific questions feel free to ask 🙂
