Daycase hotel / travel home

Hi girlies,

My op is Jan 23rd and im day case… My ops in London and I live in Birmingham about 2hrs away.

I really don’t want to stop over night, i have already booked parking and congestion for the day. Has anyone travelled home after your op? How did you feel? Xxx

I was advised it I lived more than an hour away I was to get a hotel x

I travelled home after mine. Came round and was on way home 20 mins later felt absolutely fine. Only advise would be v pillow for car journey home xx

They don’t advise you travelling home if you live further than a hour away. I live 20 mins from Fitzroy and was sick in the cab (had s sick bowl thankfully). From my experience you wouldn’t want a 2 hour journey in a car after your op. Would be better to get a hotel hun. There is a travel inn like 2 mins from MYA fitzroy xxx

I travelled 2 and a half hours back home, slept most the way back. You’ll be fine 🙂 xx

Hey hun, I went back home as well. Had my op in Manchester, obviously you know I live in Birmingham 🙂 xx

I think it depends how i feel… but im sure ill be fine had anesthetic before as child. To be honest just think id want home comforts xxx

I travelled home normally takes 3 hours but bad traffic made in take 5 hours l. I was fine and I didn’t sleep. X
