dental veneerS???

anyone had them? how much did they cost? can anyone recommend anywhere… just had my boobs done nearly 5 weeks ago (considering getting them bigger!) but deffo first want nicer looking teeth. Looked on google but just get about prices or book appointments.. I’d like to know how much you paid (per tooth/overall) before I go to any appointments and any other advice? TIA xx

Dont do it I work In a dentist. And you have to drill away your teeth. Just get whitening done. I’ve had whitening and I’m the lightest shade on our guide thing. Works really well. For a veneer we charge 800 per tooth. And you damage all of them. And we charge 399 for whitening.

really? i’ve done whitening jamie but it’s the shape really that i want too change, could keep getting them whitened but won’t change shape.. I grind my teeth in my sleep so they’re not completely straight. they’re not really bad but want to change them. Why is it worst thing you done @julierimmer ? xx

They file down your teeth to little stumps so even when the veneer goes on its super sensitive I’ve been back to dentist at least 4 times for it falling off I would give anything to have my teeth back x

Yeah I’m a dental nurse and we see the same patients coming back as they always falling off. And yeah hey have to file them down to get the veneer on. It’s silly if u have good healthy teeth to file them down and put something on them. My dentist has his 2 front are veneers and he is always chipping them. There only good if u don’t have very good teeth or your teeth are worn down and u have a lot of money to maintain them. They only last 10 years anyway. If u grind them just get a mouth guard for when u sleep. That makes ur jaw muscles relax and u only grind down a bit of plastic not ur teeth. And your only young as well you wouldn’t want to damage healthy teeth.

arh lizzie I don’t think i want them then! my teeth are healthy as far as i know! I know what you mean Jamie, I have grinded them since being a kid though so the ‘damage’ is done kinda thing. is there anything else i could do which would improve the appearance of them without getting veneers? like that would make them straighter and all inline with each other if you get what i mean?i think i’m probs best going my dentists but don’t particularly like them. I’ve looked into a different company in Manchester I may make an appointment with them x

I has veneers on my 2 front teeth. I broke mine when I was little and kept having filling put in so I eventually got veneers. They look like my normal teeth but hurt like hell. You have to have a temp set made untill the real ones are ready and mine broke, it was horrible walking around with my teeth filed to nothing and really painful. In the long run I am glad I had them done because I dont have to go to dentist all the time for fillings but I wouldn’t have it done again xx

Get braces you can get adult ones as well search on google clear aligners and 6 month smile. There the 2 we use. And then u can go to an orthodontist to get the train tracks like kids have. But yeah go to ur dentist and see what they say.

Hey, I’ve had an Invisalign brace! Best thing I ever did, pretty pricey but really worth it. It’s a clear brace, just like the retainer you would wear after having a fixed brace, they change them every 2 weeks and your teeth gradually move. Mine are soo straight now! I had a brace when I was younger but they moved again. This is a good wat because not had to have the metal brace and be self conscious of it with being older! Also, bonus, you get free whitening once the treatment is finished! Type in Invisalign braces in Google, it will tell you where does them near you and gives u a list of the dentists and in of whose done the most etc, they have some kind of award scheme, Platinum. Gold, silver etc xx

Yeah Invisalign and clear aligners are same thing just a different company I think. They are really good loads of our patients are very happy with them. We charge about 3 grand for them. But I think it’s worth it
