dermal anchor piercing

So booked in for 17th dec.. and for surgery you have to remove all piercings…. but with dermal anchor ones you obviously just can’t take out. So wondering if anyone has had this problem xx

You’ll need to talk to your Dr about it but I would assume you will need to have it removed as the metal can heat up and burn you during surgery. Do talk t your Dr or PC though as they may be able to make exceptions. If you need to remove it I would get it done asap to give the wound a chance to heal to remove the chance of infections x

Ye its on my hip so not near boobs.. but shes give me number to ring the hospital im going. I know Ive seen sum girls post anout still having tongue bar in. Whicj im going to remove mine tho. Just obviously dermal doesn’t just come out xx

It doesn’t really matter where it is hun, it’s the machines they hook you up to that can cause the burns, I’m sure the hospital will be able to help 🙂 x

I have my belly button pierced and at the hospital the nurse said I could just tape it so I did that but just before I was put to sleep they made me take it out xx
