Did anyone feel like chubby or bloated after their op?

Had my op two days ago but my stomach is quite big and round? I wouldn’t never have had a flat stomach but id usually be toned and not this chubby .. Is this just bloating or is it my boobs making me look fat? Lol

I’ve seen girls say it’s the ga that can give you quite a bloating feeling for a few days, I’ve not had my op yet so wouldn’t know but it should pass in a couple more days xx

Hopefully .. Then I’m thinking is it the Chinese and KFC and the laying about? Lol think I’m just paranoid lol

I had my op Sunday and my god I’m bloated!! It’s not a great look having swollen boobs and a swollen tummy. Baggy clothes galore ? I hope it starts to go down as I feel huge! ?

Yes! I’m now 12 days PO and was bloated so much until around day 8 hated it ? But it’ll pass Hun x

It’s bloating from the drugs and my nurse said it was to do with the swelling moving down your body. I’m 16 days po and it’s finally gone! I live in a small town and didn’t tell too many people about my op I was so bloated I was certain people were going to start assuming I was pregnant! Xx

i would expect this for a week or so, i am 17 days post op and loads better than i was but the lying in bed and taking it easy does contribute a lot to bloating and feeling crap, on top of antibiotics and and any painkillers, sleeping tablets etc you need to take. don’t worry too much it’ll be worth it when you’re fully healed ? xx

Thanks girls it is so reassuring that this is all normal .. I was going to stop taking my pain killers starting his morning and just take parecetemol and antibiotics but maybe I will just stick to taking them .. Yeah my stomach looks like when I was 8 months pregnant with my wee boy lol.. I had to travel a lot on my second day as I live in Ireland so I’m just taking it easy from now on .. Have to admit it I’m in such much pain and I feel someone has punched my ribs about 1000 times and my back is killing me .. Ah well I keep looking at pictures of bikinis that I finally want to look good in! Thanks girls!

deep heat pads work wonders for back pain hun! 🙂 xx

Yeah the deep heat pad are amazing! It is temporary so try not to worry (Like I did!) Drinking loads of water helps to flush everything through your system and once you stop taking the drugs and start moving about more it goes but I would rather be bloated for a bit and in no pain xx
