Difference between unders and partials

Hi, I’m just a little bit confused as to what I’ve been told. I’m 90% sure my surgeon told me I would be having unders (as I want as natural as possible) but then when I went over my notes with the nurse today she informed me that I was down for partials! Is there a massive difference? I’m hoping this will mean they hurt less afterwards haha xx
