Help!! At my first consultation I was told I’ll be having 300cc but I forgot to ask my surgeon overs or unders! I asked the lady I booked my op with and she said that my surgeon always does unders so I’ll likely have unders! At my second consultation today I asked my surgeon and he said I’m having overs! When I got told I was having unders I research abit a I found out it’s because people have little breast tissue! I have very very little breast tissue!! What’s the actual different from overs and unders and what will my outcome be!!
My surgeon told me it is too do with existing breast tissue and if you have enough the cover the implant they would do over but if you don’t choose unders.
Apparently you would just see the implant and its shape under the skin if you don’t have sufficient tissue to cover it. I’m going for unders 375/400cc from 32b after having kids they’ve got no shape 🙁
@lottiecurd that’s the thing he said I have no breast tissue, now I’m wondering if he got me confused ? And that sounds like a nice size, right in the middle of too small or too big x
@cgoodson I have just had 295cc Hp overs from a completely flat 23aa. I had nothing at all not I am only one week post op but so far very happy. Was sure I would need unders but surgeon said overs and they look fine :). I have some pics on my profile if you want to add me as s friend?x
@jan-ba hiya I’ve just sent you a friend request!! I’m glad that you’ve had overs as well, that puts my mind at ease haha! How have u found recovery? Everyone tells me it’s easier with overs x
Overs
Parts ( half the implant at the top gose under the muscle and comes over the muscle at bottom ) some surgeons refer to these as unders when there not these have such diffrent look to fully under the muscle the look with parts is more close to the over look with rounded bottom and clavgae ( So ask your surgeon what he really means by under )
Under where all your implant is incased by muscle this gives a higher lift on your implants and comes with less risk
This is parts sorry pic didn’t upload xx
@cgoodson have accepted friend request. I have found the recovery ok. I woke up after surgery and felt great. Apart from my chest feeling very tight and a few twinges here and there I haven’t had any major pain at all and have managed ok this week. Have been trying to take it easy and not do to much or push myself but have not been stuck in bed at all. I actually think I’ve been in more pain with my back where I’ve had to sleep propped up than I’ve had with my boobs X
I’ve gone from unders to overs now X
Hey Suzanne if your back is hurting try this
If you place your legs over the bottom pillow this will take the pressure off your back n bum and will stop u slipping down in the night this will be more cumfy for you my op was full uplift and implants and I had 6 weeks of sleeping upright xx
Thanks I’ll give that a go. I do keep slipping down at night and waking up almost flat which makes my chest much tighter when I wake X
That will do the trick chick you buy them pillows cheep in Dumlems xx
@jan-ba oh im glad youve had a good recovery so far, im praying that i can get back to work after a week!! im so nervous about having to sleep sitting up because i sleep with no pillows at all, so its going to be really hard for me! when they say sleep sitting up, how sitting up do you have to sleep haha im dreading it xxx
My nurse said at least a 45degree angle to me? We all seem to get told different though x
I slept with my normal pillows and then a v pillow on top so was propped up. I normally hate sleeping upright but haven’t found it to bad. I have just been for my post op appointment today. I’m on day 9 now and have been told I can now sleep on my side or flat at least as all healing well. So happy X
@jan-ba oh wow, i bet it feels like heaven to lay on your back again ahah! what did the doctor say at your post op appointment? x
@cgoodson hi, yeah It was nice to lay flat again. Was a bit scared to lay completely on my side still though. Especially as he said you would need to keep turning from one side to the other so to not put to much pressure on either boob.
Nurse just asked loads of questions about how I had been and then said about anything that would still be normal like the changes and pains/twinges as it all heals and your nerves healing. The incisions are all healing really well and very neat. I have added some extra pics to my profile. I am now allowed to shower normally again but not soak in the bath and still have to take it very easy for the next 5-6 weeks until I see him again. But so far so good 🙂 x
@jan-ba oh wow! im so happy for you, i cannot wait until i get mine!!! 8 days :’) ill have a look at your new pics, im sure there looking amazing!!x
@cgoodson it will fly by don’t worry and the surgery itself really isn’t that bad. It’s all over and done so quick. I’m now on day 10 post op and feel like my boobs have changed everyday it’s mad. Can’t wait to just see the final result now. I’m seeing nurse again end of Feb and then get to see the surgeon at 12weeks post op. I’m excited to see what they look like then X
@jan-ba i know, i cant believe it was over three months ago that i booked my surgery date!! im not nervous about the surgery, its the anesthetic im nervous about because it makes me really ill and unresponsive! the surgeon told me to tell the anesthetist and he will give me sickness tablets but im still scared haha! praying im fine x
@cgoodson oh no. I was quite lucky and came around from the anaesthetic really well. I’m sure it will be fine. My sister had hers done and she never does very well with anaesthetics but was given anti sickness drugs which did help. Keep me updated on how you get on 🙂 x
