Discharge from hospital advice

My admission time is 7:30, I am trying to arrange my transport getting home. I am getting a taxi there as my partner will still have to take our son to school.
I am having a lollipop lift and 365cc at Harley Health Village next Thursday (13.06.24)
My question is what happens if my lift home gets stuck in traffic or is set back? Will I have to wait outside the hospital for him???
This is the only thing that’s worrying me now as traffic and road accidents/closures can be so unpredictable 😩
