Dizzy spells?

I’m 1 week post op today and for the past few days I’ve suffered really bad dizzy spells. It’s such a strange feeling I get really hot everything starts to sound muffled (as if I’m on a plane) then I feel like I’m going to be sick, my eyes go blurry and I sway to one side as if I’m being pulled. I haven’t actually fainted up to now, touch wood, as I’ve been around people who have quickly sat me down but it’s such a scary feeling. I also get very tearful and panicky while it’s happening which i don’t realise til I’ve come around. Has anybody else experienced this? I have my post op appointment with the nurse tomorrow but I just want to put my mind at rest really xxx

could possibly be antibiotics or painkillers if your still using these, the codeine i was given knocked me sick and my eyes would blur upon standing up but then sort itself out, i hope things get better for you hun as its still very early days 🙂 xxx

Yes I have experienced this but is getting less and less as the days go by . Painkillers do make it worse I believe it’s sometimes you body reacting to the anesthetic, also some get low blood pressure after op. It is awful but will go this is my second op and I have experienced this both times not nice

I’m not taking pain killers anymore apart from first thing in the morning and even then just a dose of paracetamol, I think maybe I’ve overdone it as the pain has calmed down. I’ve took the rest of the week off work as it happened in work and they sent me home so maybe just resting will help. Thanks girls good to know it’s normal 🙂
