Hey girlies had my op yesterday in London and in two hours have a very long drive back home to Wales, very sore as my strapping is so ridiculously tight but my Macom is unbearable. Nurse who put it on me said it’s supposed to be as it’s a compression garment but I had to take it off all night last night and tried putting it on a minute ago again and it doesn’t fit unless I absolutely force it and crush my new boobies and my incisions?? Do I literally have to just grin and bare it because it’s a compression garment or is it simply too small and should I pop to marks and grab that zip up sports bra in a bigger size? Seen loads of people raving about it and can’t be in car for 4 and a half hours in just my strapping??

Can u not ring nurse again Hun I could be wrong as I’m not due my op till 14 June and my sugeon doesn’t use strapping but from what I’ve read and seen I was under the impression you don’t have to wear sports bra till strapping has come off n strapping is enough ? Xxx

I didnt have strapping on because I had overs, but the macom bra was like torture for me, way to tight. I went and got a few M&S ones in different sizes and instantly it made a big difference. Stacey is right maybe double check with the nurse, could be different after unders. But I also think if its soooo tight it could cause problems to, maybe the strapping by its self is supportive enough. Good luck

I had partials and had strapping. I was told to wear my MACOM over my strapping at all times and it really is hard to put it back on once you take it off but it makes such a difference to your results. Try it on a looser option if it has one and then if that fails and it’s waaaay too hard pop to M&S. But they are meant to be tight. Mine was so uncomfortable with the strapping and the MACOM but we’ve gotta go by what the nurses/surgeon say as it’s whats best for our final results x
