Do I really need a 6 week check up?

Hi, so I’m 6 weeks post op tomorrow and I’ve not been contacted to make an appointment for a check up. I’m really happy with my boobs, Ive had no problems so far and my scars are neat and have healed really well. It’s a 2 hour drive to see my surgeon just for a 5 minute chat so I’m just wondering if anyone else didn’t go to there appointment?? Xx

yes it is, though why they haven’t rung you i don’t know why as they should’ve done xx

I would go just to protect your rights regarding terms and conditions incase you have any issues in future

I’m not sure why they haven’t rang me but I’ve not gone through Mya so the aftercare is different. I might just email her and see if I can just go to my 3 month check up cuss everything seems fine so far. Xx

I think you have to go Hun … If there are problems later down the line I heard it affects your warranty x

They booked my 6 week appt at my 1 week po appt I would chase them up x

Babe I would go…..I know it’s a ball ache but they may see something that you haven’t!!! You have paid ally of money and it’s a big operation not to have a final checkup xx

You defo SHOULD make an apt all though it’s not imperative, I had my op in October and I’m not having a check until the end of March. If you feel well and everything is as it should be you’re fine but going to be on the *safe side* is def the way forward x

I had mine today a week early n its a 3 hour drive but u defo should go! N u dont c ur surgeon til 12 weeks I only seen nurse today for 6 week check x

I’ve messaged my surgeons clinic manger Helena so I’m just waiting for a reply. I’ve not gone through Mya so I always see my surgeon direct. I’ll see what he says. Thanks everyone. X
