I know it’s only a short surgery and normally a urinary catheter only goes in for longer surgeries but I aslo heard the pump a fair amount of liquid into you with the IV… xx

Hi I had surgery yesterday and didn’t have a catheter. It was only about 2hrs between going to sleep and coming out of surgery. X

Ok hun. Thanks for that. I did read they sometimes put it in after your asleep and take it out before you wake up but surely they would tell you…right?? xxx

Hey, I haven’t been on here in a while so you may not know me but in answer to your question….No like the other ladies said; maybe if you were having a few ops at the same time then they might give you one as it may be difficult to walk…but for the record I was up to the loo within half an hour or so after both my ops, even though I was a tad wobbly! Lol. Seriously you have nothing to worry about; it’s literally like you close your eyes, then open them again and you have boobies! Best of luck! X
