For pre op, no you don’t.

For post op, these have been suggested by my pc and the nurse. 🙂

Hi, the nurse at your pre-op will recommend Macom compression bras as will a lot of other girls on here. They are on the expensive side but you only need to know your back size and they stretch to fit whatever your end result will be. I was hesitant at first about the price but thought it would be easier than buying a bunch of different sizes and taking the wrong size ones back to the shops. X

My nurse didn’t recommend Macom! She said they’re more fr ladies who have had their breast removed. Think it’s personal preference 🙂 x

    +1

I think Marks & Spencer’s do some good ones too my PC recommended them too. I had a look and found a pretty decent one for £22.50.

I was told to get black incase the incision leaks onto the bra, unfortunately could only get a hold of white and nude :s

I have to say though when I started my process I didn’t even think about how confusing the bra situation would be lol thank god for this forum all the ladies are super helpful 🙂 x

My nurse and surgeon Mr Kazzazi totally disapprove macoms. They are for breast reconstruction or mastectomys so not supportive for implants at all. You need a sports bra that’s supportive I have used asda, shock absorber run ultimate and pro usa x

I’ve got m and s ones . I’ve struggled a little finding the perfect one as all bras seemed to rub my insitions so bought 2 different ones today which sit lower than my breast crease x

I bought a macom bra for after my BA but it didn’t fit me . I for my correct back size but it was so tight and hurt as it pushed on my implants ( I dis have strapping on to rho but felt I needed extra support for the first few days) . I’ve been using asda sports bra that zips up at rhe front. I find them really supportive and comfy. Also I like there post surgery bras as they are a little less bulky but still supportive with no underwire . Some of them even have nice parerns on and come in pink! Xx

So it just has to be a tight sports bra. If I buy one from asda I wouldn’t know what size to get? Unless I buy two different sizes to the predicted size I will be ? What do you reckon…? Thanks girls. Xxx

Yeah I’m struggling with sports bras too, my pc reccommended Macom but lots of people disagree. Wouldn’t know which size to get from asda/m&s because of swelling and there are so many different types of sports bras I don’t know which one I need lol xx

Macom do both BA and mastectomy bras the one recommended by some MYA nurses, states on the website its use. Only reason I got two of them is because I’m not as lucky as other ladies to know what my end result will be.

I think sports bras is one of the top most confusing aspects of the BA experience. Made me realise how little I know about bras lol x
