Hi pam, im in the same boat as you I dont want anyone to know but my boyf. My mum would flip and talk me out of it and maybe never speak to me again! I keep thinking can I really hide this from her sometimes I want to tell her then think no way! Im guessing they will be very swollen for the first week so may be hard to hide. Id like to hear other peoples opinons too, so will keep checking this one xx

Well as you know i’m only 2 days post op so cant really say, but i should think it will be hard to hide it. You will prob need to wear baggyish tops and with the swelling and if you get any highness like mine are then it will be hard to hide. As for people talking you out of it, let it go in one ear and out the other. If its your dream and something you want that much then you will have it done regardless. To start with my mum didnt really say much, infact she didnt hardly say anything to me until they morning of my op, 2 days ago, when she phoned to tell me she loves me and wishes me luck, bless her she said she only felt funny with me cos she brought me into the world and made me who i was! haha bless, sweet really…

But do it for yourself, you dont need to tell many people, of any, apart from obvisouly your partner, and when they find out afterwards, well its too late then!! haha suprise ;) lol x x x

Hey huney, if you feel you cant tell her then dont say anything, leave it between you and your husband. If worst comes to worst and she noticers then admit it then, it will be oto late by then and she wont be able to say much really ;) lol think about yourself and how you feel rather than anyone else x x x

    Hi Pam,
I have a consultation with the surgeon on 3rd of November and will be booking a date then. Realisticly its going to be Feb before I will have enough money :( Is there no way you could change the date of ba or your sisters visit? If its only 2 days maybe you could say you are a little under the weather and just getting over a cold or flu? Then that would explain the big baggy jumpers and the fact your not as mobile. As Sara said if she did guess after you have it done, theres not much else she can say xx
