Hi there!! i am due to have a breast uplift & enlargement on the 15th september. iave booked my days off from work and also arranged for my mum to help me after with my baby who is 8 months old and 2 year old. The problem i now have, is my cosmetic group have wrote to my doctor for teh go ahead, but he has wrote back saying “he advises me i should wait till december, becuase of me having a baby 8 months ago!!” i am so angry and upset, as they are having to put the op on hold as they need the complete go agead from my doctor who has completely balls this up for me!. By the time sept comes my baby will be 10 months old, so surely i am fit & well enough for my breast op???? i am going to see my doc tmor and beg him to change his mind, as this causes many problems for me!. especially holidays with work etc, plus theres no way i can get them done december, and ruin my childrens xmas! anybody got any advice on this? god i hate my doctor for this! theres loads women out there who have a boob op months after giving birth. i have 100% heatly i have no probs at all! the only prob is my stupid doctor! soz but i am really angry for him ruining my plans! its not easy when you have 2 kids! you cant just do what you want when you want!
:angry::cry::angry:please give me adivce! and is there any women out there who have had the same situation with their doctor before having their boob op??
may i add, i am so upset!! i am going to speak with the doctor tmor!! but its completely ruining plans!! and wasting holidays for next year if i have to re schedule this!
Hi
I think this is because they always advice waiting 12 months after giving birth for any operation. When mya wrote to my doctor they said it did’nt really matter what they said it was just if there was any serious health problems.I was worried because my sister had breast cancer and she is younger than me(31 yrs) and i had found a couple of lumps recently so thought they might say i should’nt have it but they never mentioned ought to me.The surgeon did make me write on my forms to say that i had been told by him that any lumps might go unnoticed because of the implants but that was it so i don’t understand why you can not write and say you were advised you should wait 12 months after giving birth but you chose not to-ask and see what they say.

TRANFORM WHERE I AM GETTING IT DONE, SAY THEY NEED THE GO AHEAD FROM MY DOCTOR, SO I NOW HAVE TO SPEAK TO HIM TMOR AND TRY AND GET HIM TO CHANGE HIS MIND. I AM SO GUTTED, AS I REALLY WANT THEM DOING BEFORE XMAS, I WAS SO EXICTED TO BE ABLE TO WEAR NICE OUTFITS AND NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT MY AWFUL SAGGY BOOBS. I DO HOPE THE DOCTOR CHANGES HIS MIND, COS BY SEPT IT WILL BE 10 MONTHS SINCE I GAVE BIRTH. A GIRL I KNOW OF HAD A BABY THE SAME TIME AS ME AND SHES JUST HAD HER BOOBS DONE. I AM HAVING AN UPLIFT AND IMPLANT SO I WONDER IF THIS IS THE PROB??? I WONT BE ABLE TO SLEEP 2NIGHT NOW COS OF MY STUPID DOCTOR! ITS NOT FAIR!
you should have requested your doctor not be contacted which you are usually allowed to do as these are health proffesionals too.
If it’s that big of a deal, change doctors or change from tranform to mya, tell your doctor you are willing to go through this at your own risk.
you can also seek a second doctors opinion.
I DIDNT KNOW YOU REFUSE YOUR DOCTOR FROM KNOWING! GOD I SO WISH ID DONE THAT NOW!! IF HE STILL WONT CHNAGE HIS MIND I MAY LOOK AT CHANGING DOCS, BUT ID NEED TO DO ASAP!! GOD IM SO ANGRY AS THIS DOCTOR HAS PROPER MESSED EVERYTHING UP, IT ISNT JUST HE OP DATE ITS THE WHOLE PANNING OF IT, COS MY WORK PLACE ARE CRAP AT GIVING OUT HOLS DAYS!!
Why don’t you change to mya,i think they would be okay for you to have it done as long as you stated that you were advised to wait 12 months from giving birth and signed it.

Hi Janey
Ive recently had a baby hes 16 months and the second is 3 1/2 months. Im booked into have my op on wednesday. I did mention this to the consulatant at MYA, but i cant remember if i told him how old the youngest was?
I did sign the form to say that they could tell my GP, however he hasnt rejected, and hes a really good GP. I think they also consider any previous illness or surgery. Natural birth or c section?
If i was you i would make an appointment with your GP and explain the situation to him. Whats a few months gona do?
Its so much easier for me as i am still on maternity leave so work dodnt even know that i have had the op, im sure they will notice when i go back though. LOL.
Hi All.I went to harley street for initial consultation and although my daughter is two I had only just stopped breastfeeding.Harley won’t tough me until6months after I finished feeding as my breasts may change size/shape again therefore after implants they could become more saggy or more plump so change the look of my boobs. No other cosmetic surgeon that I have asked($ of them)will do it before 6months except for MYA who said I could do it6weeks after. Now, I remember after my 3rd son that a year-18months later my boobs did fill back out and aren’t half as bad-actually they were fine-as what they were for the first few months after feeding. If I manage to get away with just having implants(not an uplift too)then I will have my op, hopefully in Nov/Dec which is5/6months after feeding.Only cos I don’t want the trouble/cost of getting them re-done should my breasts change dramatically between now and then.Harley street did also say to me that to please not get it done before 6months even if I choose to go elsewhere and they were not pushy at all about me going there-infact the nurse was almost putting me off having it done at all!
JANEY-You can ask for a second doctor to look at your case and over-rule the first if they think it ok for you to have it done-second opinion that all.I am very disappointed that I can’t get mine done NOW as I had hoped but I know it is better to wait so 3more months nothing compared to the15years I have wanted them doing!xx
