Does it hurt when strapping is removed??

I’m due to have my strapping removed on Friday and I am really looking forward to seeing my new boobs!! Lastnight after having a shallow bath I tried to peel away a bit of the strapping on my chest (I know I shouldn’t be doing this) and it’s really glued down onto my skin like its held on with super glue!! I’m guite worried this is going to be really quite painful having it removed on Friday now /-: … Does the nurse just rip it off? Or is it taken off in a speacial way? X

My nurse just pulled at it, I was expecting it to be somehow bathed off. Not to try and scare you but mine did hurt she took her time though and was telling her when she could go again and when to stop! She did say it’s not normally as sticky as it was on me though! Also I’m a massive wimp! It’s left my skin sticky and blotchy too 🙁 but it’s getting better now my strapping was off yesterday! X

Also I’ve been left with some blisters around the edges!
Having the stitches out wasn’t painful though if they did put any on you!

Thanks chel, Im not to sure about stitches but I’m assuming there is some there holding everything in lol! Doesn’t sound nice having the strapping removed but I guess it’s the last hurdle now as far as the pain and discomfort goes… And I think up to now I’ve had it really easy in not really experiencing any pain 😀 x

I didn’t know I had any stitches apparently sometimes they’re needed and other times not, but overall they use dissolvable ones I just had 4 normal stitches in each side!

I took mine off cos I was getting panick attacks it was awful, I was 2 day post op, but I’ve put a support band on which was given to me off my PC and a good support bra, still very painful tho! Hoping they will b ok cos sum girls don’t have either and there’s turn out nice! Xx

My nurse was really gentle and used a wipe and glue dissolving solution. Your incisions are covered with a dressing so will be fine x

My nurse told me to stand in the shower the morning I’m due to get the strapping removed to get the stickiness off, just be careful with your incisions xx
