Before –
No fake tan, vitamins, alcohol or pill the week prior.
No false lashes, nail extensions, make up or hair and beauty products the day of the op.
Wash only with anti bacterial soap the morning of the op, no lotions, creams, hair products, make up, perfumes to be used on op day.
Stop any meds you’re on the night before the op.
No food 6 hours before this includes chewing gum, mints, milk in tea/coffee. You can have sips of clear still water up to 2 hours before.
Wear soft comfy clothes that zip or button in the font.
Make sure you stay within around an hour of the hospital for the first 24hours and no public transport or driving yourself.
Some Drs will advise cutting onions and garlic from you diet prior to the op as they thin the blood.
After –
Stay on top your meds, painkillers every 4 hours and antibiotics as directed
No getting your insicons wet for 7 days, shallow baths are fine.
Don’t soak your inscions in the bath or get them wet for long periods in the shower for 6 weeks, wearing waterproof dressings in the shower can be helpfull.
No fake tan or creams near your insiocns for 6 weeks
Most Drs will advise to stay off sunbeds for a while and when you do use them COVER your inscions, ALWAYS, this is an on going thing even after they heal, if you don’t do this they can become darkened.
No bio oil ect for at least 6 weeks
No underwire for 6-weeks and always wear your sports bra – front closure prefered as they pull the pockets inward and stop lateral displacement.
