Drains :/

Hey girls.
Just wondering if anyone can tell me what drains are, I’ve seen them mentioned loads and pics of them dangling out of the strapping lol
I know my surgeon uses them but what do they do? And does everyone have them cos neither my pc or surgeon has mentioned them to me xxxx thanks

Yeah, and like the other girls said better to have it out our bodies than stuck inside xx

They are in another small incision at side, they heal on your own and no scars marks etc x

Yeah separate hole I’m nearly 5 weeks post op and I just have a little scab mark on the side of my boob.

It’s almost like a dot at either side of you where they’re popped in…I think it’s to drain out any excess blood and nurse will come monitor that regularly to check it’s the same amount of blood and you’re not leaking anymore than you should be. She takes them out before you head home and it literally just feels like a tiny pull maybe it’s a weird feeling but no pain. I’m 5 weeks post on and I can’t even see them anymore. If you look close you’ll maybe notice a dot but that’s it.
