Drains

Anyone with simmilair experience?

So i had my drains out on the day of my opp which wasnt the most comfortable experience however wasnt painful either….my left one came out with no problem but my right got stuck what seemed behind the implant so it took a bit more force for my nurse to take it out which looking at his face expression he wasnt hidding this fact either…and this where the problem starts..i am constantly having burning sensation around this area…i cant move or touch without shooting pain…even if i touch gently on the top of my boob this will translate in burning on the side…like implants got missplaced a bit…also this one is alot of harder n more swelled up..i am now day 3 post opp n cant apply ice pack or peas which is lighter on it cuz it hurts…painkillets do not work…can be the sign of infection or anything else? Please advise xx

I had exactly the same Hun and I’m post op 9 days now and all seems fine. I’ve been to my one week check and the nurse was happy with how everything is healing. It’s so easy to worry though, I was panicking thinking infection and was calling the emergency nurse line at night when it felt worse but sounds like your having what I had. Have you had your one week check?xx

Not yet…will have on sat coming…you know when he was taking them out n he caused me such a discomfort i could bet my money then that my right boob will be giving me a grief…i do believe implant got disturbed which made it all sorecaround it and i am feeling the results of it now..but i like to stay positive and i am sure all be fine in the end xx

So after posting this i had a phone call from murse reassuring this is normal n there isnt a wrong way of taking drains out however i am in so much pain i cant touch where the exit whole memt to be nor lift my leg onto the ned causing burning to my boob…i had a phone call today to see how i was getting on and got booked for an early check up tomoz…i really hope theres a massive bruise thats lurking underneath this strapping…will keep updated x

I think your be just fine honestly. I was getting such a sharp burning pain anytime I moved. I couldn’t work out wether it was coming from the scars or my nipple but it made me not want to move! I felt like something was almost ripping. One side I was so able and the other arm I couldn’t even use at that was at my 1 week post op! The last few days I’m only just able to start using the arm and no pains now. Sorry for the ramble lol hope all goes well at your app Hun xx
