Drains!

I’ve seen a few of you mention drains and it’s the first I’ve heard of them and they sound terrifying! Are they as bad as they sound and what are they draining? Sorry if this is a stupid question lol

They aren’t bad really, your so numb it’s not really pain more of a strong pulling/tugging feeling. They drain away excess fluid and blood. The nurse removes them a few hours after op.

That’s a relief then, thank you. They sound awful so I was worrying lol I’m not too good with pain but it will be worth it!

I’d check before hand with your surgeon if you have drains or not 🙂 I didn’t have any xxx

I had dr fiumara and didn’t have drains 🙂 x

I guess it just depends on the situation then, just have to see what happens and I’ll ask my surgeon too!
