drains… terrified

Can anyone reassure me of the drains?? I’m so scared to get booked in cos of this

They really aren’t that bad just a weird feeling having them taken out! didn’t hurt me just felt strange xx

I didn’t even hear or read anything about drains till a few days before the op and I was exactly the same Hun really worried! But honestly for me it was a bit like an injection having them taken out she said just breath calmly and don’t think about it next thing I knew one was out and I didn’t feel a thing! Exactly the same the other side! I think it’s very rare that people find it painful or not comfortable!

It’s such a minor thing do not let it ruin this for you! I can’t even see a mark where mine were! Xx

I did think the drains were the worst bit. It didn’t necessarily hurt but was uncomfortable and a cringey weird feeling make me feel a bit queasy and a bit stingy but it’s over in literally 1 min xxx

I was offered gas and air when having mine removed but rejected as it makes me
Really sick. She then got someone to do the other side at the same time as her. Was over with in about 3 seconds Hun xx

Not all surgeons use drains either Hun so if your really worried about them maybe look in to the surgeons who dont xxx

I had drains, the worst part was when the nurse peeled the strapping tape back to get at them, it’s like a long slow wax haha.

The drains coming out was like a bee sting which lasted all but 1 second! No sweat hun! xx
