Drinking before op

My op is next Saturday. I was advised not to drink two weeks before because of thinning of blood. But is that just a round about figure? Surely it won’t have much effect a week before hand? Anyone have any input on this? Xxx

I had a cider about 6 days before op then remembered I wasn’t meant to be drinking so only drank 2/3 of it! I wouldn’t risk it personally you spend so much money and don’t want to be poorly for the sake of alcohol! Xx

I didn’t drink for 2 weeks before didn’t want to risk them cancelling me after all that money x
