Drinking before op?!

Hey girls, I have my surgery booked for the end of Feb. It’s my 21st bday 9 days before my op! Will I be ok drinking or not? I have my pre op in a couple of weeks and will ask then but I was going to go away for the weekend and don’t want to arrange it all if I can’t drink?! Any advise?!!xx

Heyy hun! I think some girls did but i would like to say for sure they advise you to stop drinking and smoking 2 weeks before your opp as it can cause the healing to slow down hope this helps xx

Thanks Jess! I’ve read I shouldn’t drink two weeks before but I’ll double check at my pre op! How long after do they say don’t drink? Just wondered cuz I could always celebrate my bday after the op?xx

I can’t remember how long after to be honest i’m unsure if it’s just until you’ve finished your medication or till your healed properly xxx

I know the correct answer to this as I have my op on the 25th Jan and I have a big night out in the 23rd so I rung the nurse at mya and she said no alcohol in your system for 48hrs before your op day. So I won’t be drinking that night ?
Oh no smoking at all 2weeks before xx
