When can we go back to driving or When Did You feel comfy driving? I havr to drive 9 days PO.

hey hun they told me that your not insured till 2 weeks after ya op xxx

I drove after 4 days but it was an emergency. I was told I could start driving at 2 weeks. X

Im sure i was told 1 week.
I go bk to work after 11 days so ill need to drive but 9 days i need drive home from my mom’s who’s looking after ne xx

I’m 8 days post op now babe and couldn’t look at driving, just opening a door is pulling on me or sitting up in bed. I would suggest a taxi as you may do yourself some damage xxx

I’m back at work in an hour so I have to drop my daughter at her grandparents house then go to work…. I feel fine today and think I’ll be ok and will manage. I’m 8 days post op. Also had to lift little one today as partner went back to work. I’ve just lifted her when necessary and tried not to over do it. X

I suppose everyone is different ill have to see how i feel. Im only 3days po get strapping off in 7days hopefully drive day 9 xxx

Driving was fine but manouvers where difficult especially reversing as you have to twist and pull steering wheel. Think it’s all down to how you feel x

With my first ba I was driving second week but it was uncomfortable a bit. Now second time round was told two weeks and I’m driving now but still not 100 percent comfortable. Just take it easy.

Yes driving forwards is easy. It’s deffo reversing is the hardest lol. I’m at work now and a little uncomfortable under my armpits. Xx

I was 5 days post op yesterday and drove to work for the first time, driving forward is fine- just reversing was abit of a struggle x

I drove 7 days post op, 5th Gear & Reverse are difficult but it gets easier. Try not drive if you don’t have to. xx

I was told a week by the nurse when I went to go and get my strapping taken off. She said the only reason is to make sure the anesthetic is completely out of your body. I drove at 7 days post op and have been completely fine. Hasn’t felt uncomfortable at all 🙂 hope that helps. Glad to see you had a good experience, bet your excited to get to see them now. I was told a week waited 8days like above fine apart from Manovers feels like Iv just learned to drive again hahaha.x
