Driving after op…

Does anybody know how long after your surgery you have to wait before you can drive again? Pleeease 🙂 Franki xxx

i got told 7 days after x

My PC said I’d be able to drive myself back to my 7 day check up! She said its not 2 wks as I queried this! X

My PC said 7 days! My nurse said 14, to be honest I’m 8 days post op and wouldn’t dream of getting in the car right now. Suppose everyones different but I also queried as the PC also told me I could pick up my baby at 1 week but nurse said 6 weeks! X

Also I had unders so if you are having overs it may be different! Listen to your surgeon and nurse as their advice will be best. I was also told not to massage until 6 weeks as it can cause bleeding etc but there are loads of girls on here who have been told they can massage straight away x

I better be able to drive, I’m back at work on day 8!! X

I was meant to be back day 7 but no way could I be picking the phone up and typing all day so I took another week off! I put the washing in earlier and I made me need a nap lol! X

haha. This is what i’m worried about, i’m supposed to be driving down to Bath the weekend after my op on the Fri to meet my new little nephew, and i’m so worried i’m going to miss it :/ That will be 7 days after my op..and then back to work on the Monday..uh-oooh xx

I drove the next day coz I had too. Then I started driving 6days PO xx

I’ve just had my preop and the nurse said its one week for insurance purposes but they recommend two weeks x

I went back to work on day 10, and drove my car no problems, but I only work about 10 mins from home. You just have to be extra careful that you don’t go over too many bumps x
