Driving post op

Hi girls,

How long post op did you wait until driving again? I’m 8 post op and have my nurse appointment tomorrow and was wondering if I was allowed to drive now. Some say one week/ ten days/ two weeks post op. Just a bit confused x

Before my op I was advised one week after…. Then at my 1 week post of the nurse said wait another week, but on day 9 I just gave it ago, it was a little difficult with gears and stuff and u have to drive with both hands (I normally drive with one) to avoid pulling your breast muscles as it will give u a sharp pain! I got used to it tho, was driving 9 day PO onwards xxx

It all depends on how you feel in yourself! Try going up and down the road, turning right and left and see how you feel xx

My nurse said 2 weeks, but more importantly try and do an emergency stop to see if your ok doing it otherwise you won’t covered on your insurance 🙂
