Thought I’d share this link- I don’t think fluffing or dropping were ever really properly explained to me so I found this really helpful. Might be helpful in pre-op and post op girlies in their first few weeks

Im guessing this doesn’t work with soft touch then as they’re gel so the stuff inside can’t slide downwards? :/

Yep, they still drop- if you pick up one of the soft touch implants by its edge (when they show you them in the consultations) it all kinda falls down to the bottom

@cupcake 38 – Yes, they definitely do drop, they are gel but they are still very much “liquid”

    Here’s the science bit-

Remember physics classes at school? The soft touch implants are made from very slow moving gel/ liquid (so it’s molecules move about much slower than water for example)

“A liquid is a phase of matter and a fluid whose volume is fixed under conditions of constant temperature and pressure, and, whose shape is usually determined by the container it fills. Furthermore, liquids exert pressure on the sides of a container as well as on anything within the liquid itself; this pressure is transmitted undiminished in all directions.”

In conclusion, yes, this diagram also applies to soft touch implants 🙂
