Experience with Dr Sleiter

Hi, I was orignially booked in for surgery with Dr Ibraheim for end of March, (had my surgeon consultation with him) but now I understand he has unexpectedly left, and no longer performing this type of surgery.
My co ord has now suggested Dr Sleiter, I have only ever read one or two things on this forum about him performing labiaplasty (as opposed to hundreds on Dr Ibraheim).
Can anybody recommend him for labia minora, majora and hoodectomy surgery?
I am not sure what to do now, as had my head around having the surgery, but would like more info on this Dr. Is anybody else in the same situation? Many thanks. X

Hey Hayley. I’m the same. I was booked with Dr Ibraheim for the procedure but yes he has left. I was gutted, I’d finally got my head around the idea and then that happened. However now I’m booked in for the procedure with Dr Mileto for May. Apparently he’s amazing but all his reviews are on BA so it’s hard to get excited without having the same amount of reviews to read up on like we did for Ibraheim. But I know I would never have it done if I didn’t just still go ahead. I’m hoping more girls come forward who have been in this situation switching surgeons from Dr Ibraheim recently and had the op still and can reassure and give us their experiences before my op date arrives !! Are you going to go ahead with Sleiter or hold off for a while now? Feel free to PM me xx

I know what you mean, I felt a bit gutted and now just confused.
I also have looked at the ‘surgeons’ list on this website, and can see that under Dr Mileto, he has labiaplasty listed, but under Dr Sleiter there is no mention of it. I know he obviously performs it, but wonder if Dr Mileto is more specialised in it.
I also would want to know if other surgeons can perform the ‘wedge’ technique that Dr Ibraheim seemed to opt for, and mentioned to me during my consultation.
I am going to hold off booking anything up for now, or a consultation with another surgeon, until I know a bit more. I would like to wait and see if it would be worth my while enquiring about Dr Mileto instead.
Have you had your consultation with him yet? I saw on another recent post that someone has labiaplasty surgery booked in with Dr Mileto start of April, I hope you find more info/good reviews about him by the time your op comes round… Good luck!

Hey! Yeah that sounds like a good plan; you want to be sure before you go ahead obviously. Yeah my op is paid and booked for May 13th! I’ve got my pre op on Monday. Dr Mileto when I met him was very friendly and polite, he showed me before and after pictures which put me at ease and coordinator reassured me that all Dr Ibraheim patients on her books were also being done by Mileto and those that have been done are over the moon so I’m just trying to get excited and stay positive! Hoping the lady who is having it start of April like you mentioned can update me how it’s all gone before mine comes around, that would help loads. Hi guys, I’m also having the same problem, had my surgery a year ago with dr Abraheim who since booked me in for a revision surgery but it took so long for my doctors to send my health records over that in that time dr abraheim has left and won’t be following up any revisions. I feel really gutted cause I felt really safe with dr abraheim and trusted his judgement and now I’ve been sent two profiles for dr sleiter and dr mileto and I honestly have no idea who to chose. Shame not as many people share their experiences about labia plasty. I didn’t previously book in for hoodectomy so I have now explained that I would like this & them to correct any problems I had with the original labia plasty. I might book in with both to speak to them, hopefully they both have photos of their work!? Can somebody please let me know their progress with either of the surgeons to help me make my decision? Thanks!! Xx

Hi girls, I’ve just come across this thread and think it’s myself that you were referring to! I’m having labiaplasty and hood reduction with Dr Mileto tomorrow. I’m really excited to get it done as I’ve been wanting it for years. I feel confident with Dr Mileto and was really impressed with the before and afters he showed me. I’ll keep you all updated! x

I had my hopes on ibraheim but since he’s left I’ve booked in with me Mounir and can’t fibd anything on him I’m wondering if Mileto would of been better now

Sorry to hear some of you are unsure about surgeon choices, but also quite nice to know it isn’t just me. Least we can all discuss together to make the best decison.

Lois, sorry things didn’t go exactly as expected with last year’s labiaplasty. Do you mind me asking what the problem was? Just trying to gather as much info as poss, before booking up again! But no worries if too personal to share.

Emma, how did the surgery go? Hope you’re happy so far, but obvs early days. How are you feeling?

I def want the surgery, but holding off until I feel a bit more clued up on surgeon choices, after Dr Ibraheim leaving.

Hey girls, so I’m two days post op now and already feel SO happy. Things are a bit swollen but literally experienced no pain, the only discomfort was having to sit upright on the train home for an hour and a half. All the nurses were absolutely lovely and looked after me so well. Mr Mileto comes round to see you before you go in and goes through the desired result again and you sign some paperwork. I was in and out of surgery within the hour but again felt no pain! Was just tired after such a long day. Mr Mileto came round before he went home to say everything went well and there was minimal bleeding which was good. They let me stay overnight despite being a day case as I think I was the last surgery of the day. They were so lovely and caring to me. Although it’s still “Frankenstein” week down there, I can already tell it’s so much better than before. If anyone wants to ask me any more questions, please message me but I would say go for it! Xxx

Emma, how are you feeling now? How long would you say until you can go out for dinner and things like that after surgery? Is it still uncomfortable to walk or sit? X

I’m back at work now and feeling pretty good! It does hurt a bit to drive as I’m sat directly on the stitches but in the past week, I’ve been shopping, been to a friends for dinner. To be honest, I feel so much better when I’m out and about as your mind is taken off it! It’s when you’re at home on the sofa you’re very aware of it! When sitting down on the sofa or a chair, I tend to sit on one on my legs (crosses) underneath me so you’re not putting your full weight on it! So happy though x

I had my surgery yesterday and I can see a stitch poking out already is that normal? How long did yours last for? I hope it hasn’t come out too early !! Glad you’re recovering well Emma! I can’t wait to be back to normal and the swelling to go down! x

Ah yay, pleased to hear you’re happy with the results Emma! Very reassuring! How are you now? Would you say mostly recovered?

Mel, hope you got your stitch situation sorted? I think I’ve seen from old posts that this sometimes happens. Did your Doctor sort it out for you/tell you it was fine? Hope you’re now recovering well.

Yes definitely! Back to normal really- back at work and out and about with friends. Still healing but looking better every day! x

I just left the stitches and they sorted themselves out. Spoke to the nurse on the phone and she said it was normal. the swelling has gone right down now so much more comfortable 🙂

Hiya, This is amazing news i’m pleased tour surgery went well! ive had mine done a week ago now and i feel like the hoodectomy part hasn’t particularly worked as it looks like it hangs lower than it did before. How long did it take until yours looked “normal”

Hi all, just wanted to say I have now had my consolation with Dr Sleiter and have my op booked in for next month. He was really nice and friendly and put me at ease. If anyone has actually had their operation done by him I would love to hear how it went.
