fear of surgery and advice on shape!

Hi ladies!! So glad to have found this forum! I’m considering a boob job however I am scared of surgery… not so much the surgery itself but scared of what could go wrong. You always read the horror stories of women wishing they hadn’t gone ahead. Did anyone else feel this way before their op or am I being silly?
Also I’m currently a very small 34a and wondering what cup size people my breast size were rrecommended? I think I would like to go for a teardrop shape as I want them to look as natural as possible! A few people have told that they originally wanted teardrop but their surgeons recommended round because teardrops are prone to moving around?? For any ladies who have the teardrops have you ever had any complications with them moving around? I’m just wondering how common it is. Also are you glad you went for the teardrop over round? Thanks

Hi lovely don’t worry about the actual surgery, it’s sooo rare that anything goes wrong so don’t let that put you off.
I wanted natural teardrop too but my PC recommended round to me as she said teardrop holds most of the weight at the bottom and you don’t get much top boob. That’s what I’ve been told! I’ve gone for round 275cc moderate plus profile partials xx

Hi Lauren, I understand why you’re so weary of the surgery itself and to be honest I can’t blame you. The media tend to focus on the few botched up jobs rather than the thousands of perfect procedures that are undergone every year. Lots and lots of research is the key and this is where the forum is so handy as you can speak to other patients openly and honestly about your worries and concerns and share your experience in order to help other people in your shoes. A lot of surgeons tend not to use teardrop implants because of the high risk of sagging and flipping, making the breast an odd shape. With regards to size, it completely depends on the look you’re going for. If you want to look natural and in proportion then tell your surgeon this and he will advise the correct size for you, you are able to try on different size implants at your consultation so you will get an idea of what they’ll look like under your clothes. Hey chick no point in worrying about all this just yet to be fair all this down to your surgeon and wot he thinks is right for your body as he will tell you wot size and placements to weather they need to be high profile or low uplifts or nipple lifts you need to go see a surgeon and find out exticly wot you need and resurch on that for now as this bobbie world is a mind filed and I’ve had this for the last 4years and 3 ops in so for now think about wot size you like and how u would want them to look for me I wanted the big fake round look was told I needed a uplift /implants under my muscle I had this done n 2013 and look from that was nothing I wanted it to be as they placed under the muscle which is a so diffrent look all together had anther op due to problems just had 3rd op and had my implants replaced with 590cc motive implants and placed over this time and I’ve got my lovely fake round fake look as I love xx

Thanks ladies I really appreciate the replies! Your right Beth I think the media do focus on the few bad jobs when really there’s hundreds of woman who have successful boob jobs everyday! And that’s good advice about letting your surgeon advise you on what will be suitable! I just need to research and go for some consultations! I have to say though since being on here its really helped my fear of surgery seeing all the girls on here and how happy they are after!
