Fed up :(

Hi girlies, as you know I found out last Tuesday I have a seroma on my left boobie. Mr kazzazi drained it for me and gave me some medication. The fluid has reduced alot in size and it looks alot better and nearly the same as my right boob….however, my scar has been leaking since Friday. I phoned the mya emergency nurse who has been a great support all weekend. The amount of fluid got worse today so she advised me to go to a walk in centre to get it drained. The two closest walk in centres to me said they couldn’t do it. So I phoned a&e to ask if they could do it there, the nurse said “what’s a seroma” which put me off going there lol, I told the mya nurse all this so she said to just keep changing the dressing until tomorrow and has booked me to see the nurse at clinic tomorrow. She’s also emailed mr kazzazi to make him aware, and I’m seeing him Tuesday. So fed up 🙁

Awww that sounds terrible! Really hope u get sorted soon hun. At least MYA are doing all that they can for u. Did u find that the walk in centres and a+e didn’t really have any sympathy for u? My friend said she had a really horrible encounter with a nurse in a walk-in centre who pretty much said she was asking for trouble by having implants. X

Jakki that’s exactly how I felt, I phoned them because I thought I don’t want to travel there if they can’t do it. Good job I phoned because they couldn’t! But there was little help or advice from them :(. Xx

kirsty im sure you’ll be absolutely fine but i can understand how worried you’ll be. im sure this is very common, we never know exactly how our body is gonna react and every one is different. im so glad that mya are being really supportive for you. let us know how it goes. and cant believe the nurse said ‘whats a seroma’ she’s meant to be a professional!! absolutely shocking! xx
