Feel like I am back at square one :'(

I had my surgery 8 days ago and everything was fine until about day 4 where the right side started to be more painful. I saw the nurse yesterday to have the bandages off and she reassured me that the right side was just taking longer to heal etc because thats my dominant side so would be using it more.
I am feeling so worried today as it definitely looks more swollen than the left and is harder to touch. I get a pulling pain even with the slightest movement but have no pain in the left at all.
Has anyone else had this?

Very much like you, my right side is sore & very hard to the touch compared to my left, I had my nurse appt on Friday and she said everything was ok. We just need to be patient and give everything time to settle down. I’m 17 days PO. I’ve also got a problem with one wound which whilst it’s knitted together fine, it looks quite untidy/raised, the nurse has applied a pressure dressing and said it will sort itself out?!
So, try not to worry, we just need to be patient 🙂

Thank you for the reassurance! I wish I could be more patient lol I am a nightmare at sitting still for 5 minutes! I think I probably overdid it on day 3/4, hence why I am paying for it now. Fingers crossed she is right and it will sort itself out 🙂

I’m the same!! Too much to do – no time to sit about. I’m on my own, so if I don’t do the housework, sort my dogs out etc etc there’s no one else to do it lol xx
