Feeling really unwell from post-op meds

Hi everyone,

Had my op yesterday and felt absolutely fine not even that tired and have been taking my painkillers every 4 hours but they’re making me feel absolutely terrible! I’m so light-headed and dizzy if I try to move anywhere and I can barely keep my eyes open, been in and out of sleep all day! Plus my moods are terrible I keep getting tearful over absolutely nothing! Is anyone else feeling like this?? xxxx

Hiya lovely. Could be the anisthetic wearing off still. I felt like this for the first few days. It’s a huge trauma for your body to go through it will take you a few days to start feeling like yourself again. Just take it easy and sleep when your body tells you to, you will be fine xxx

Codeine does that hun xx

It’s the painkillers 🙁 happened to me, I replaced them for ibuprofen/paracetamol and felt much better xx

I am totally sick on codeine so was glad when Kazzazi gave me paracetamol and ibuprofen. Also if your still on anti biotics take them after eating even if it’s after a cup of tea and biscuit x

I was ill for 3 days but it was 24hours after op so wasn’t the morpheine or anesthetic was allergic to anti biotics rely bad at one point was in a coma state and couldn’t stop been sick seeing double going dizzy faint the lot. If it doesn’t improve in the next 12 hours ring Ya nurse.hope u feel better soon.xx
