Felling very let down ?

Went to Preston for my op today got all ready and all prepped to go down to then have a phone call off mya to tell me my operation had been cancelled ? The doctor then can in to check me and had absloutly no idea that it had been canclled. Another lady had to be rushed in as she had a bleed witch it understandabl but for no one the nurses to know anything was very frustrating and also having booked time off work and moved everything around I now have to change it and have to wait 4 weeks for my op. ? Very upset and disappointing as if but my self up for it and was all ready to go. Xx

Oh no! They should at least try to Make it much sooner. I’d be upset too, hopefully they bring it forward. Xx

I know I am gutted ? I Syked myself up to go in. I understand that emergenceys happen. I’m more upset at the fact that I’ve rang the office 6 times and no one can give me an answer. I don’t want to take the Micky out of where I work by going back and having to take more time off. Thanks girls xxx

I more disappoint that no one from mya had returned any of my calls! And I have no idea what I’m meant to do. Do I go back to work or stay off. So frustrating ?

Just keep calling and calling until you speak to all the different people on reception. You need to know where you stand xx

This happened to me the night before my op,I felt exactly the same as you, but I must say that MYA were fantastic with the situation, got me re-booked asap and were very helpful but unfortunately I wasn’t able to have my op that day either due to ill health. Hoping to re-book sometime soon. It took a lot of phone calls back and forwards but I’m sure they will get back to you and sort things out for you xx

I know I’m so upset I was all ready to go down to theatre and they canclled it and I was the next one to go down. Luckily my work have been fantastic and let me go back to work and hopefully I’ll be having them done on Monday. Xx

I’ve had it booked for a few weeks I was meant to have it on the 21st but they had a canacllation so they asked if I wanted it so I said yes but then as I was just about to go the theatre they canaclled it. ? Absolutely gutted. Xx

It is a big disappointment especially when it’s something that means this much to you, and you’ve built up to it for such a long time it was the same for me, and it has taken me ages to get over it, I had to have my time off work so it was quite a miserable 3 weeks off wishing I was nursing my new boobies 🙁 but I’m feeling more positive now and just looking forward to being able to rearrange it . Hope it goes ahead on Monday for you xx

Thanks ? I was so upset but I’m feeling a bit better now. My patient coordinator Natalie at mya has been brilliant. She’s trying her best to get me in asap. But at the moment I’m booked in for the 22nd of March. So fingers crossed it all goes okay. Xx

My op was supposed to be yesterday 14th March. I had the week off work and my Mam had taken the week off to look after my two children for me. I was at hospital at 7:30 all gowned up, checks done, surgeon drew on me then I had a phone call off my pc at 12pm to say that it was cancelled because they had made a mistake with the paper work. Was heartbroken. I’m booked in for 22nd at Preston now but have to have another consultation with dr Monuir on Thursday.

I’m lucky I have such a good friend at work who has cancelled her annual leave next week so I can have it off.

Are you at Preston too on Tuesday? I’m so nervous that they’ll cancel it again xxx

omg i can’t believe you was about to go down and they cancelled :/. thats so worrying!

can’t believe they cancelled because paper work was wrong! this stuff should be sorted way before hand!!
hope it all works out for you and the op doesn’t get cancelled again!
