So Iv just had my first check up on 9 days po today. The nurse removed my plasters and said there still open a bit and put new plasters on. Was anyone else’s like that?
I’m still not allowed to drive and still can’t get a shower. She told me have to sleep propped up for the 6 weeks I don’t think I can cope anymore x
6 weeks? one nurse told me that as well so by week 4 i was dying to just lay down. i checked my notes from Mya and it said i could lay down at 2 weeks. then i decided to call mya and ask and they told me 2 weeks. i would call again in the morning and talk to another nurse I’m sure its not 6 weeks? not unless she’s told you 6 weeks for other reasons xx
Yh and she cleaned them and put fresh plasters on I’ve got to go back next Wednesday hopefully they will be OK by then I can’t cope not being able to shower properly and I was expecting to be able to drive by now as well !!!! X
I thought it was me cos Iv been doing to much I panicked a bit. I feel bad on the kids they have been stuck in I’m going to have to take them out tomorrow but go in a taxi they can’t stay in again x
Do you mean plasters over the incisions or the actual dressing? I got mine tomorrow afternoon and I cannot hack any more time with this wrapping on!! It’s so tight. Does it hurt girls? I’m really nervous. Also I got told 2 weeks on the sheets and advice but I laid on my back flat last night, best sleep I’ve had yet I couldn’t hack upwards and if you got the bra and that on it says it shouldn’t cause any problems i researched outside of Mya however.
Hi @laceygrover, me and sueb didn’t get fully wrapped up we just had plasters on. She removed the plasters and the stitching tape then cleaned them and put more plasters on. When did you have your op? X
@suey73, yeah no ironing no nothing!! Iv done the ironing twice this week that’s why I panicked thinking id done something to the wounds as they wasn’t fully closed x
I had my op Friday at 930am. I’m getting my strapping off tomorrow, sooooo nervous about the pain ect and got so many questions about my left boob lol!! Xxx
@laceygrover, I bet you can’t wait to see them!! That would have done my head in getting them done and then having to wait a week to see what they look like. I’m not loving mine at the moment I’m wishing I would have gone bigger but I’m not sure if it cos Iv had unders and they take longer to get there shape etc they just seem small I’m a bit disappointed x
@ellie2015, no there was reason she just said 6 weeks propped up I can’t go another 4 and half weeks surrounded in pillows with pain in my lower back and bum with hardly any sleep il go mad every few nights I’m taking night nurse just so I can get a full slept it’s awful x

@laceygrover, no strapping at all as soon as I woke up I could see my new boobs!!! I was 32a and got 325c unders. What did you get? What time is your appointment tomorrow x
Hi ladies I had my op Sunday 10th and went back with concerns today was in agony and the pains were like hot iron rods poking me! Thought something might be wrong with implant ended up having strapping and dressings off just had a little strip put over wounds! Feel so much better for it! Can take a shower Saturday I won’t even be a week post op! But I am so relieved all is ok and my wounds are healing well 🙂 xx
@suey73, I’m going mad I’m proper fed up so the kids must be aswell. Deffo getting them out tomorrow thinking of going to one of the play centres for a few hours x
@laceygrover you’ll have to let me know how you get on, it’s exciting!! I wish I would have gone bigger but I didn’t want the fake look but now I’m thinking there not big enough. ykurs are going to look amazing!! X
@KatrinaK when I had mine done the first time (16 years ago) I was 32a and had 320cc low profile unders and went to a D cup this time round I had 550 cc unders hp and I don’t think they are that much bigger !!!!! They just look firmer and a nicer shape xx I think we always expect them to be bigger than what they are x
@suey73, I think I’m driving my feller mad cos I don’t like them and I’m saying there small and not what I expected, but he keeps saying it’s only been just over a week. I just feel like we’ve wasted a lot of money x
Hey, I had to have my plasters on for two weeks so couldn’t shower. I was also told to stay propped up for 6 weeks but to be honest I don’t… I have 2 pillows and my v pillow and that’s it otherwise I can’t sleep. You can drive when you feel fit. I first drove about 11 days after but I will be honest I struggled I’m coming up to 4 weeks and still use two hands to reverse and can’t get into 5th… Xxxxx
@emmaward29, I really debating on if i should just drive today but I think if my feller found out he wouldn’t be impressed he’s already told me not to do anything today and just take it easy but I know I’d be fine.
Does our paperwork that we got from Mya say anything about driving? X
@sophy91, I think I’ll have a go tomorrow when my feller can look after my kids so there not in the car. I need to be ok for Monday for the school run and when I go back to work!! X
