First Consultation Booked – SO MANY QUESTIONS!?

Hi Girls,

So I booked my consultation (in Liverpool) two days ago and have since spent all my time on this site reading everything! I’ve wanted my boobs doing for so long but I haven’t done much/ if any research at all! I’m currently a 30 B and I think I want to be a 30 DD (I’m 5’11, a size 8 and don’t want to look ‘top heavy’).

I’m not scared about the procedure at all, I’m more scared of not knowing the in’s and out’s! I’m guessing/ hoping most of this will be resolved in my first consultation, although is there anything I should be asking so i’m not going in completely blind?

Then the costs, I have 0% credit card that I can use ‘worst case’ but I really wanted to take the finance route! This is the most stupid question EVER but do you pay the finance before having surgery, or do you pay the deposit, have the surgery and then pay the finance off?

I’m so excited and ready for this! I just don’t know enough!

Oh fab, it doesn’t take too long at all then does it! I suppose knowing what you wanted and being 100% helped, some girls on here seem to struggle. I’m hoping to go to a 30 DD (ish) as I know they can’t really go off bra size 🙂

One more day for you though!! Have they advised on how long it will take/ the recovery times etc? Although I suppose they vary person to person! xxx

Does anyone know what happens / what is discussed in the initial consultation? I have my first one this Saturday and I’m excited! Not wanting the surgery until after xmas / new year so hoping I’m not starting this process too early !
Also does anyone know at what stage they take a deposit and book you in?

@chelseaw you discuss what you’d like to look like in terms of size etc, she goes through implants with you and I got to try them on, so had a rough idea of what I wanted when seeing my surgeon. She talks you through all the different placements and profiles to choose from. Just ask her any questions that you have :).

As for deposit there’s 2 ways you can do it. Either pay more and book you date before even seeing the surgeon. Or the route I took was to meet my surgeon and then I paid my deposit and secured my date. You pay less deposit if you wait and book it after seeing the surgeon xx

Oh great thanks! Which implants did you have if you don’t mind me asking?

Also, Is there much of a time gap between first consultation and your consultation with the surgeon? I’m hoping to pay finance / get a bank loan, I’ve seen people say on here the finance with mya is really strict! My plan is to save over the next month or so what I’m estimating to pay as finance for it to see if I can definitely afford it before I book and pay a deposit !

I’m going to a clinic in Newcastle so do I only get to choose surgeons from that clinic? Also I’m guessing that your PC will recommend a surgeon depending on the type of look you want to go for? Xx

No I think if you’re willing to travel you can have any surgeon, obviously it’s easier for you though if you pick one nearer to you 🙂 and yes your PC will recommend certain surgeons xx

Hi love! I will ???? I’m super excited! They rang me yesterday just to check I knew where I was going and that I’d filled out my medical history and knew what other important things I needed to take along with me, which I thought was good!

Oh fab! My consultations at Liverpool, to be honest I rang this morning to see if there had been any cancellations and I managed to book in for tomorrow! So now I’m super excited (although I can’t say they told me what I needed to take, although I assume it’s just my passport). Where are you having yours? 🙂

Oh wow haha bet your excited now !! Mine is at Newcastle! I’m a bit worried about travelling to either London or Preston for the op though as it’s quite far from me ????

If you go on the “about us” and then “your journey” on the website it gives you a step by Step guide of your journey and it says for the first consultation to bring 2 forms of ID, your nhs number and things like that, and a sports bra (to try on implants) and then you just need to fill in the medical history form on their app before your consultation!

Ah so they can only operate at Preston or London?! I mean it’s not too much of an issue for me as Preston is closest, I bet it’s a pain for you though!

Omg I can’t believe I didn’t know! Thankfully I’ve just rang the doctors for my NHS number and I suppose I can grab a sports bra from anywhere. You’re a star for letting me know thank you so much!!!

Yeah I never realised this and then I saw loads of comments on here about people staying in hotels etc on the night of their surgery, and then I realised! Because the place you go for your consultation is a clinic, and they have them all over the country, but there’s actually only 2 hospitals, which is where the operation takes place!
I’ll probably still be okay because my boyfriend says he doesn’t mind driving me there and back, it’s about 2 hours from home but should be ok! Might even stay overnight afterwards in a hotel but the 2nd day is meant to be worse for pain as the anaesthetic etc wares off so might be best doing the journey on the day of my surgery!

I’m currently wearing 32A but there’s still room in it and gapes when I lay down 🙁 hoping to be around a D/DD, wanting them natural but still shapely and perky !! What about you? Xx

Oh fingers crossed! You’d be better off sitting uncomfortable than spending X amount of money for an overnight stay too!

I’m almost the same but I’m a small 32B, I want to go to a DD/E, I don’t want to be too over the top but I think I’m ready for a bit of ‘shape’ ???? literally so excited for tomorrow! Good luck anyway, I hope it’s all good news for you!! xxx

Yeah exactly that’s what I’m thinking! Isn’t that far.

Yeah I think the same because I was always set on a really natural look like tear drop implants and not too big but actually on their insta page there’s loads of girls with round implants and they’re like E\F and they look lush! So got an open mind really now!

How did it go?! I don’t think I was expecting it to be as straight forward as it is. I’ve booked to see my surgeon which is Mr Mhadi on the 16th October and providing all goes well I’ve been given operation dates of 17th/ 24th November! I just hope when I meet him I can get to the size I want to be, so far so good though! xxx

Really well, my pc was lovely and so friendly, loved the clinic. I haven’t picked a surgeon and I haven’t booked an app to see a surgeon yet as I need to secure a bank loan first, my PC said she wasn’t prepared to book me in and get my hopes up until I had a loan to pay for it in place so currently on to my bank! Hoping it all goes through ok so I can book to see a surgeon, although I really don’t know which one! I can choose from Mr mounir, my traynor or mr giannitripani! Don’t know how to choose haha!
