Well just went for a little drive to stop the cabin fever, and I must say it’s been the worst pain I have been in since the op, turning the wheel was absolute agony, think I will stay off the roads for a while, does any one know when I will be able to drive comfty I am meant to be back at work Monday? Xx

I drove an automatic after 2 weeks which was ok ish.
I drive my manual after a month and it was uncomfortable changing gear for the first week or so, then was fine!

Thanks for the reply I’m dreading driving again, like you say the gears hurt and I can’t turn the wheel as I should, I thought I’d be ok as I’m honestly not in any pain at all any more. Xx

My doctor refrained me from driving for at least 3-4 weeks to be able to have full control over the steering wheel and not get worried about pulling any muscles if you unconsciously perform a vigorous move to control the car. You never know what you might face while driving and its better to be safe than sorry when it comes to a surgery you have recently done and invested so much in it emotionally & financially. And by the way i drive an automatic not even a manual. Hope this helps xx
