First week check question

I am having my op on the 19th Dec and because of Christmas I can’t have my week check until the 28th….has anyone else had 9 days before the first check up and was it ok to wait that long? Xx

i had mine at 9 days as my surgeon likes to wait 10 days (the 10th day fell on a saturday). i had my dressings removed and told i could shower. might be in your favour as reading on here, some aren’t able to shower until 2 weeks! x

Don’t worry you’ll be totally fine, they wouldn’t do your op on that date if it wouldn’t be ok to wait that long. The post op check is only really to change the dressings (or remove them if healing well) and see how your incisions are healing, so a few days later shouldn’t hurt xx

That will be completely fine it’s only two days really and that will be quite normal as sometimes girls can’t go on the day they wanted, sometimes a nurse will be off sick so reschedule or she’s fully booked until a few days after so I wouldn’t worry.
